the journey

All of us are trying to figure it out. “What is Truth?”  “Is there anything more?”  “What is life really all about?”

Church for the City is new. We began in March of 2024. And we are different. As followers of Christ, we are convinced there ought to be a noticeable difference between us and the rest of our culture. That doesn’t mean we’re overly formal, or overly branded. It means we ought to project God’s love in everything we do. And by our actions His love should be noticeable.

Join us as we walk the narrow path with Jesus. We listen to the hard questions people ask and we always answer in love.

Amidst thousands of churches and even more Christian websites, we offer a super approachable, come-as-you-are meeting place where you can find a safe and restful place for your soul.

We’ve been rich and we’ve been poor. We’ve been hurt, bent, bruised, and broken. We know what it is like to worry about where the next meal is coming from as well as the false security of financial success.

More importantly, we know the tender love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We welcome all who sincerely want to find refuge, relief, and rest in Him.

Welcome to
Our Community

We are a group of believers who embrace the words of Jesus when he said,

“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

Our primary goal is to follow Jesus and invite as many as we can to join us on the journey.

So, let's walk hand in hand, as we strive to become more like Christ, reflecting His love and compassion to all.

Die

Put to death the misdeeds of the body. (Romans 8:13)

Made New

Be made new in the attitude of our minds. (Ephesians 4:23)

Put On

Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:24)
